Digital Inclusion Report
Face to face meetings with healthcare staff were dramatically reduced at the start of the first lockdown in March 2020. This meant that some of the digital changes that service providers were hoping to introduce slowly were forced to be activated quickly to be able to continue to deliver services.
The coronavirus pandemic has shown us how much we rely on digital communication platforms to stay feeling connected to friends, family, and the wider world. Increasingly, we need to get online to access the information and resources we need to look after our health and wellbeing.
This report explores resident’s views on the rapid movement of charities, local support services, and primary and secondary care to digital services during the pandemic. It looks at London Borough of Bexley resident’s ability to access and use digital services and how residents have been supported or possibly excluded if they are not able to use digital services.
